Complete Seafood Experience
We attended the Pt Adelaide Festival with our smoked Coorong Mullet as part of the Complete Seafood Experience (CSE)
The numbers of visitors overwhelmed the organisers and participants. The count was up to 1500 passing through the gate per hour! The previous year when there was no CSE the Saturday had 3000 visitors total. So obviously there is a huge interest in the seafood industry.
We had plenty of product but we were fast running out of toothpicks for the tastings by 3pm on the first day. We were lucky that Trevor (our rep at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market) was on his way to help out at the stall so a quick phone call saved the day.
CSE visitors to the stall tasted our natural smoked coorong mullet and nibble plates with a piece of each of our four flavours were available for purchase. Packs of smoked mullet, 250g packs of fresh fillets and whole greenback flounder (catching again for the first time for 5 years) were also available.
The response from the public was fantastic, with lots of great feedback and inquiries for product.
Mark from the Adelaide Hilton spotted our flounder and was keen to have it on the Hilton menu.
We love doing this type of activity because we can speak dierctly with the public, let them try our great proudcts and share our information with them.

New to Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market Stall 30
Come and visit us weekly at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market. One of our Adelaide team Trevor Bowden and wife Peta will be there to look after your Fresh and Smoked Coorong Mullet needs as well as other seafood when in season.
Other value added products will be available as we add to our range. So come back to this site to keep up with our latest additions. Fish will be available fresh in season and frozen all year round. Regular cooking demos will be held in the market kitchen.

Robyn and Steve are braving the cold over winter to bring Coorong mullet to the Southern suburbs.
New Staff and Promotions
After selling her butcher shop of 27 years, Junita joined the team after Easter.
She is rapidly gaining new skills including learning how to fillet. She is now a valued member of "Hills Angels"
Luke is being trained as Processing Supervisor. He has progressed quickly up the ranks over the past 12 months.
Already a dab hand at fish smoking, now he is helping implement changes to the business during this expansion period. Go Luke!
Daughter Rachel is back temporarily. She has been burning up the bench with her filleting skills. We call her the Boomerang, she keeps returning. But it has been a great help during a busy time.
